Technological Innovation, promoting factor of Digital Economy and Agro-Industry

The Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development Ernest GBWABOUBOU chaired the opening ceremony of the 2016 edition of the national fare of Technology on the theme “Technological Innovation, promoting factor of Digital Economy and Agro-Industry”. The open door activities held at the Multi purpose Sports Complex of Warda in Yaoundé lasted from October 19th to 21st 2016. The fare witnessed the participation of the Minister of Small and Medium Size Eterprises Social Economy and Handicraft Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa, the Minister of Poste and Telecommunications Minette Libom Lilikeng, a representative oof the Minister of Labour and Social Security as well as the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development FUH Calistus Gentry.

In his opening address, Minister Ernest GBWABOUBOU  told his audience that open door activities in the domaine of technological inovation serve as an occasion to draw a balance sheet of activities so far carried out and an exchange forum between inventors and businness partners. By visiting  the different exposition stands, Members of Gouvernment noticed the progress of researchers and inventors and said their satisfaction at the efforts put in by such ones.

While closing the 3-day activity on October 21st, the Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Developement said his satisfaction over the different exposees, debates and conferences that marked the 2016 edition of the National Fare of Technology. In his address, Minister Ernest GBWABOUBOU congratulated those who recieved the different cash prices and awards offered by a jury which statuated on over 150 innovations exposed for their appreciation. He encouraged all the participants, that such innvative ideas as presented on thir various products should aim at the creation of Small and Meduim Size Enterprises and not on paper work alone.
